Intuit's Experience Design Community is made up of creative people with a diverse set of skills and talents. Click one of the disciplines below to learn more about the value these roles add to Intuit's success. User Researchers design and deliver research projects that profoundly influence Intuit products. They have a solid grounding in behavioral science and are experienced with designing user research studies and delivering rigorously examined product and feature recommendations. Ethnographers at Intuit know that the study of human behavior is an art and a science. They provide thought leadership, organization, and planning toward our ability to understand users and customers in context and to turn that understanding into recommendations and action. The goal is to collect, analyze and interpret relevant behavioral data and turn it into compelling, useful workflows, personas, features, functionality and UI solutions. Prototypers develop rapid prototypes of user experiences by thinking conceptually and practically about new and better ways our software can help people in their daily lives. They are collaborative and innovative, and work with UI designers to translate ideas into compelling prototypes that serve as objects of analysis to be tested with people in real-world contexts, as well as illustrating a vision for a business unit. Visual Designers serve to create a positive customer experience through the presentation. It involves conceptualizing and solving communication problems that help shape products, services, environments, systems, communications, and other artifacts. The goal is to make all interactions as appropriate, functional, effective and visually unified as possible via a visual language (using typography, photography, iconography, and a sense for composition and proportions) and infusing it with our Intuit brand to create a positive emotional connection between the customer and Intuit. User Interface Designers plan/shape products, services, environments, systems, communications, and other artifacts to create a positive and optimal end to end customer experience. The goal is to make all interactions as easy and intuitive as possible and the overall experience as pleasant and rewarding as possible; reinforcing our Intuit brand and creating a positive emotional connection between the customer and Intuit. Content Designers are communication gurus. They know that communication is the key to any relationship, including that between our customers and our products. They translate research findings into simple, easy to understand content so our customers are confident that their finances are done right. |
