California Wildfire Recovery Assistance

For the past week, America has watched as wildfires ravaged Southern California from Malibu to the Mexican border. We've felt especially close to this tragedy, as hundreds of our employees were evacuated from their homes and several of our offices were closed due to fire and smoke. To everyone affected by these fires, Intuit employees offer our thoughts and support as you begin to rebuild your lives, homes and businesses.

Pictures and news accounts vividly capture the images of this disaster, but from afar, we know we cannot begin to comprehend the enormity of the challenges you face. We want to do our part to help you address some of your needs.

Therefore, we've established a Southern California Wildfire Recovery Assistance program, providing software, services and financial assistance to those in the devastated areas.

As part of this program, the Intuit Foundation is providing a two-for-one match for every dollar contributed by employees to wildfire relief efforts. In addition, some of our employees are cashing out their vacation time to provide funds to selected charitable organizations. Others have volunteered to help disaster assistance organizations.

And as you'll see below, we're also providing software, services and additional financial support to help individuals and businesses recover and get re-established.

Over the past several years, man-made and natural disasters have tested our nation's resolve. On each occasion, we've seen the American spirit respond in unprecedented ways. We are seeing it again today. We salute those in the public and private sector, and especially the brave firefighters, who are working so hard to assist those in need.

As our hearts go out to all of you in Southern California, we at Intuit will continue our support, in our own small way, to help you rebuild.

  • Free replacement copies of QuickBooks, Simple Start and QuickBooks Enterprise Software.
  • Free one year of technical support for QuickBooks software, QuickBooks Enterprise and QuickBooks services.
  • Free QuickBooks data recovery assistance and password removal.
  • Free one-year subscription to QuickBooks Online Edition to customers who cannot access their desktop QuickBooks files.
  • Free replacement of checks and supplies purchased from Intuit and destroyed by the disaster.
  • Free extension of QuickBooks Payroll Service.
  • Free point-of-sale hardware and software replacement for QuickBooks Point-of-Sale customers.

Professional Advisors and Accountants Support

  • Free replacement of QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program member kits for members who were affected by the fires.
  • Free one-year membership extension for QuickBooks ProAdvisors who lost their place of business due to the fires.
  • Call 888-250-7279, and select option 2 for more information.

Accountant Match Program

  • Match QuickBooks customers to ProAdvisors who have volunteered to provide wildfire recovery assistance to small businesses.

  • Startup assistance for those customers who experienced a total loss of their business and need help resuming service.
