{"id":2526,"date":"2019-02-23T21:10:29","date_gmt":"2019-02-24T05:10:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/intuitblog.com\/?p=2526"},"modified":"2022-11-09T14:03:28","modified_gmt":"2022-11-09T22:03:28","slug":"no-intuit-data-breach","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.intuit.com\/blog\/news-social\/no-intuit-data-breach\/","title":{"rendered":"No Intuit Data Breach"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There has been NO data breach of Intuit\u2019s systems. \u00a0There was NO third party that accessed Intuit systems or accessed customer information stored in those systems.<\/p>\n<p>A recent blog post referencing a data breach of Intuit is inaccurate. \u00a0The document referenced in the blog post was a notification to a state that a customer\u2019s account experienced unauthorized access by a third party using legitimate log-in credentials that Intuit believes were obtained from sources outside the company. \u00a0The individual\u2019s account login information may have been acquired from any number of sources outside of Intuit.<\/p>\n<p>In instances of unauthorized account access Intuit conducts an investigation and takes steps to secure our customers\u2019 account and information. \u00a0A part of this process is notification to a customer of unauthorized access to their account and to select states.<\/p>\n<p>The security of our products and our customers\u2019 data is a top priority and we continue to invest in security and fraud protection. \u00a0Intuit also posts security best practices and other information on how to stay safe online on our Online Security Center that can be found at <a href=\"https:\/\/security.intuit.com\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/security.intuit.com<\/a>\u00a0or by clicking <a href=\"https:\/\/security.intuit.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">HERE<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There has been NO data breach of Intuit\u2019s systems. \u00a0There was NO third party that accessed Intuit systems or accessed customer information stored in those systems.
