Have You Ever Guessed How Much the Monica Lewinsky Scandal Costs Each Taxpayer?
Enter Quicken.com's $10,000 Tax Relief Sweepstakes to Find Out Interesting Tax Facts
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. - March 01, 1999 - Many have balked at Kenneth Starr's investigation of the Monica Lewinsky scandal, particularly it's estimated $40 million price tag. But what is the actual cost of the scandal to each taxpayer? The answer to some interesting tax factoids such as this could result in a $10,000 prize in Quicken.com's Tax Relief Sweepstakes.

Quicken.com (www.Quicken.com), the leading personal finance Web site from Intuit (NASDAQ: INTU), is sponsoring the Quicken.com Tax Relief Sweepstakes, which runs March 1, 1999 to April 15, 1999. Consumers can enter the Sweepstakes via a series of interactive advertisement banners that ask interesting tax-related questions, such as "How much did the Monica Lewinsky scandal cost each taxpayer?" Consumers who complete the survey will also learn more about new tax laws, how to save money on their taxes and how to file taxes online using Web TurboTax.

"With tax season in full swing, everyone is concerned about filing their taxes," said Richard Becker, senior group marcom manager, Quicken.com. "Through our Tax Relief Sweepstakes, Quicken.com and TurboTax will help educate consumers not only about their taxes, but also about the benefits of filing their taxes online: minimize errors, pay fewer penalties, and understand new tax laws to save money. And there's the additional perk of possibly winning $10,000."
