Intuit Developer Conference: Intel And Symbol Technologies Sign On As Top-Tier Sponsors For Major Industry Event
Industry Leaders to Present "How to Make it Big in Small Business" LIVE at the Intuit Developer Conference
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. - October 24, 2002 - Intel and Symbol Technologies have signed on as top-tier sponsors of the upcoming Intuit Developer Conference (http://developerconference.intuit.com). Scheduled for November 13-14, 2002, at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport, Burlingame, Calif., the Intuit Developer Conference is a collaborative forum for developers, Intuit product groups, alliance companies and channel participants to become educated, inspired and armed with the tools for success in the small business market.

In addition, AT&T has joined as a sponsor, and an optional full-day QuickBooks training session, sponsored by Real World Training, will occur the day before the conference.

The Intuit Developer Conference will feature industry leaders who will present leading strategies for addressing the Small Business Market - from executive decision-making to technical implementation. The two-day conference program will also include a hands-on open lab where developers can collaborate, share and write code; an exhibitor showcase; an SDK training seminar; the opportunity to meet with Intuit executives and employees and network with other Intuit developers. In addition, Intuit will make several significant announcements at this event, including Version 2.0 of the QuickBooks SDK, which will not only support data integration with QuickBooks 2003, but also will support data integration with QuickBooks Online Edition and the Canadian version of QuickBooks 2003. Intuit will also unveil an SDK that will support data integration with Intuit® Master Builderâ„¢.

Keynote Addresses
The Intuit Developer Conference keynote presenters will disclose ways to successfully tackle the opportunity to make life simpler for the over 24 million unique small business in America. Keynote speakers scheduled include Pierre Omidyar, founder and chairman of eBay; David Farina, research principal and head of technology research at William Blair & Company; and Scott Cook, Intuit founder and chairman of the executive committee.

Conference Sessions Address Key Issues
The Intuit Developer Conference will feature 30 conference sessions presented in three tracks:

  • Track 1: Leverage QuickBooks Products for Your Success will show software developers how to market and integrate their unique software with a variety of QuickBooks products including the new QuickBooks 2003 product line, the recently introduced QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions, and QuickBooks Online Edition. This track also offers education for both novice and experienced QuickBooks developers during a three-part SDK training seminar.
  • Track 2: Getting the Most out of the Intuit Developer Network will provide information about resources and tools that will help developers get their applications plugged into the loyal and growing Intuit customer base - from boosting sales through channel strategies, to optimizing sales on the QuickBooks Solutions Marketplace to hearing accountants perspectives on what customers need.
  • Track 3: More B-2-SB Opportunities provides sessions for developers with specialized expertise. Topics range from vertical market clinics, including sessions that highlight the Intuit Master Builder construction software, to how to integrate with the QuickBase web-shareable database.
