(NASDAQ: INTU), a leading provider of business and financial management solutions for small businesses, consumers and accounting professionals, today announced the upcoming launch of its enhanced Quicken® Bill Pay service for Quicken for Mac customers. Quicken Bill Pay, also available to Quicken for Windows users, is an optional service that allows users to conveniently schedule payments, pay bills from up to ten accounts at different financial institutions, transfer money between accounts, and track payments by automatically entering their transactions into Quicken.

Designed to work with Quicken for Mac software, Quicken Bill Pay's enhanced service will offer users a more comprehensive solution for managing and paying their bills electronically - making paying bills easier than ever. Features include:

  • New online enrollment allows customers to begin using the service within minutes.
  • Quicken customers can pay bills in the U.S. from up to ten accounts at different U.S. financial institutions at no additional cost.
  • Customers can even transfer funds between their accounts at different financial institutions to better manage their cash flow and easily take advantage of higher savings rates.
  • Additional enhancements enable customers to receive and view bills online from hundreds of major billers.
  • New email feature notifies customers when bills arrive to help ensure that no bill is overlooked or misplaced.
  • Payments can be made to any company or individual in the U.S. - anytime, from anywhere - and customers can send email payments to anyone with an email address.
  • All payments can be scheduled up to one year in advance and customers can set their recurring bills to be automatically paid - including both fixed amount bills, such as a mortgage, and variable amount bills, such as a phone bill.
  • Customers can check the status of outstanding payments or cancel payments from Quicken or any web browser.
  • Quicken customers can access the service both from within the Quicken software and on the Web providing the convenience of complete bill management anywhere the customer chooses - all payments are synchronized with Quicken to eliminate data entry.

Availability and Pricing
The enhanced Quicken Bill Pay service is scheduled to be available in February for customers using Quicken for Mac 2002 or later. The service costs $9.95 per month for up to 20 payments. Each additional set of five payments costs $2.49. The first month's service is free for up to 20 payments.
