| eBay And Intuit Give Developers Powerful New Tools For Developing Innovative Applications |
| Sample Applications Showcasing eBay and Intuit Integration Highlighted at Intuit Developer Network Conference |
| SAN JOSE, Calif - December 09, 2003 - eBay Inc. (www.ebay.com), The World's Online Marketplace® and Intuit Inc. (Nasdaq: INTU) today announced the availability of two new sample applications that provide software developers with new resources to help them develop further applications and illustrate the possibilities to link the eBay platform and QuickBooks® financial software products. The sample applications, announced at the 2003 Intuit Developer Network Conference, link QuickBooks and the eBay platform via QuickBooks' and eBay's Application Programming Interfaces (API). They enable developers to create applications for users to sell products and manage their business. The eBay sample application is available through eBay's Developers Program at www.developer.ebay.com, which gives members access to tools and services that enable them to create innovative solutions that tap into the power of eBay. The Intuit sample application dynamically extracts completed eBay transactions and transfers them to QuickBooks as sales receipts. Developers can download the QuickBooks sample application as part of the QuickBooks Software Development Kit, or SDK, at http://developer.intuit.com, and begin creating their own applications that can communicate with both QuickBooks and eBay. "The new features in QuickBooks SDK 3.0 make it very easy to build applications that dynamically manage inventory levels between eBay and QuickBooks.
