Intuit Releases New Version Of Track-It! Software
Product Offers "Right for My Business" Solutions for IT Professionals
TAMPA, Fla. - August 11, 2004 - Intuit Inc.'s (Nasdaq: INTU) Information Technology Solutions division today announced that it has released Track-It!® 6.5, the latest version of its help desk and asset management software. This new version increases performance, ease-of-use and scalability. Track-It! now comes in three newly configured editions - Standard, Professional and Enterprise. The new editions provide increased value by including features which were previously available only as separate add-on modules.

"Our customers have different needs, based on their IT skills and the complexity of their networks," said David Weiss, vice president and general manager of Intuit Information Technology Solutions. "To that end, we have delivered three distinct editions of Track-It! 6.5, giving our customers the flexibility to choose the edition that best meets their business needs."

Each edition of Track-It 6.5 is designed to cater to specific IT department management needs.

Standard Edition
Standard Edition enables IT professionals to more effectively and efficiently gain control of help desk and IT assets. It allows them to track and manage help desk requests and collect Windows information more easily than with spreadsheets or other manual methods. Other Standard Edition features include purchasing, reports, training and library modules.

Professional Edition
The new Professional Edition adds automated help desk management capabilities to all of the features of Standard Edition. It automatically alerts technicians to new, overdue and escalated work orders. With Professional Edition, end users can also automatically submit work requests and be notified upon completion. Professional Edition allows IT professionals to better manage help desk tickets and assures users that their requests are received in a timely manner.

Enterprise Edition
Building on the functionality of Professional Edition, Enterprise Edition adds advanced help desk and asset management capabilities. Advanced asset management features allow customers to leverage their existing IT infrastructure - including databases, servers and Microsoft Active Directory.

Enterprise Edition's advanced help desk functionality enables IT professionals to manage and assign complex work orders to several technicians. With Enterprise Edition end users can automatically submit work requests and check the status of their requests. They can also view messages from the help desk staff and search a self-help database - all via a Web browser.

The additional tracking capabilities give end-users more control over their IT needs, which increases satisfaction and productivity. Both the Professional and Enterprise Editions also enable IT professionals to use a Web browser to access Track-It!, allowing them to perform real-time updates from anywhere on their network. In addition, Professional and Enterprise Edition offer customers the flexibility to separately purchase additional features that meet their needs.

In addition to "Right for My Business" editions, Intuit has added several new features across all of the Track-It! 6.5 offerings, including time zone support, more advanced reporting capabilities and support of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Desktop Engine (MSDE 2000). These enhancements provide the tools needed to efficiently run an IT department. Time zone support automatically displays help desk orders in the correct local time for IT professionals located across multiple time zones. This allows geographically dispersed teams to easily act upon help desk requests without concern for the location of the end user. Feature-rich inventory and help desk reports allow users to easily extract more IT workload trending information. In addition, companies without a corporate database can now use Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Desktop Engine (MSDE 2000) which is included with all of the Track-It! 6.5 products.

Track-It! 6.5 is available now in the United States and Canada and can be purchased directly through Intuit Information Technology Solutions.
