QuickBooks 2006: New Version of the Nation's Top-Selling Small Business Accounting Software Now Available
Free 30-day Callback Support and Easier Access to Third Party Applications Helps Customers Get the Most out of QuickBooks
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. - Nov. 21, 2005 - Intuit Inc.'s (Nasdaq: INTU) award-winning QuickBooks® 2006, the most significant update to the nation's leading small business management software, is now available online and at retail stores nationwide. In addition to new features and an easier to use interface, QuickBooks 2006 includes new services that will help customers get the most out of QuickBooks.

One of the most stressful times for businesses is getting the software support they need. To make this experience as easy as possible, QuickBooks is offering a new callback support option which can significantly reduce the time customers spend on the phone by eliminating the need to wait on hold before speaking to a support representative. This new service, which is available to customers using Included Support or a QuickBooks support plan, lets customers submit their questions online and receive a call back generally within two hours. Additionally, QuickBooks 2006 includes free callback support for the first 30 days after users register the software , helping them get questions answered on anything from set-up and upgrading, to how to use a specific feature.

"Getting help from a company is something that we all know is a less-than-perfect experience," said Charlie Hartman of Signature Pointe Home and Garden Accents in Boise, Idaho. "That's why getting help with QuickBooks was such a great surprise."

Hartman added, "First they offered 30 days of free callback support when I needed it most — getting up and running with new software. Then they did something that completely exceeded my expectations. When I had a question, they offered me the choice of submitting it online and having someone call me back with the right answer. Rather than having to wait on hold during busy work hours, I got the answer when someone called me back — saving me precious time that I spent with my customers."

In addition to making the support experience easier and more efficient, QuickBooks has redesigned the QuickBooks Solutions Marketplace, found at www.marketplace.intuit.com. The revamped site provides access to the huge QuickBooks ecosystem where customers can easily find hundreds of QuickBooks Compatible software solutions which integrate seamlessly with QuickBooks. These solutions were created by the more than 40,000 developers who have chosen to work with QuickBooks and have first-hand knowledge in a range of industries and business functions from inventory management to sales force automation. The new site makes it easy for QuickBooks users to quickly find the solution that meets their unique, industry specific needs.

"I run a business selling postal and industrial scales where I need to manage both an online store and online auctions, in addition to using QuickBooks accounting," said Ed Walker, owner of Scales USA in Chattaroy, Wash. "The QuickBooks Solutions Marketplace led me to Zoovy, a developer who creates both online stores, and online auction software that works with QuickBooks so now I can get back to running my business. Without this online resource, I don't know how I would have found what I needed."
