At Intuit, our mission is to power prosperity around the world, and we believe small businesses are the heartbeat of thriving communities. We understand the critical role entrepreneurs and small business leaders play in building a sustainable future for all, and we aim to support them every step of the way.

We are committed to helping small businesses and entrepreneurs embed sustainable and financially-savvy solutions into their business models. Through educational initiatives, accelerator programs, and grant offerings in partnership with organizations like The Green Business Engagement National Network, Intuit’s IDEAS program, as well as Intuit’s bespoke Supplier Climate Action Accelerator, we aim to support businesses and reduce friction throughout their sustainability journeys.

Together, we're building a brighter, more sustainable future, one small business at a time.

Supporting your business’ sustainability journey

Intuit offers multiple programs for small businesses, including suppliers, to help sustainably power their prosperity.

Intuit Supplier Climate Action Accelerator

Open to all Intuit suppliers, the Intuit Supplier Climate Action Accelerator program helps small businesses jumpstart their climate action journey and build credentials that will help them attract large customers like Intuit.

Applications for the Accelerator are accepted on a rolling, first-come-first-served basis. Each selected supplier will receive invaluable resources to support them through their climate action journey, including funding to validate a science-based emissions reduction target with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), a free license for top-tier Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions measurement software, and personalized support from both Intuit’s supplier sustainability team and third-party consultants specialized in small business sustainability.

Intuit IDEAS program

In this year-long program, Intuit provides local small business owners in cities across the United States with business compliance, back-office bookkeeping, tax preparation, and email marketing software. To build their skills in these areas, Intuit also gives them access to our network of expert tax preparers, accountants, and bookkeepers, plus business coaches and consultants. Additionally, the program provides training and workshops devoted to corporate sustainability, best practices and local sustainability resources available to participants. Intuit IDEAS aims to improve the efficiency, earnings, resilience, sustainability and capital readiness of each business, and offers each entrepreneur a grant to continue accelerating their growth. Small business owners are boosting their revenue by an average of 23% and saving 16.5 hours monthly, enabling them to focus on growing their businesses and make a bigger impact in their communities.

Green Grants program

Intuit partners with the California Green Business Network (CAGBN) and the Global Business Engagement National Network (GBENN) to offer mini-grant programs and provide green certification opportunities. Each grant recipient receives up to $1000 toward energy efficiency projects and goes through the green certification process to better understand the impact of green upgrades on reducing energy use and lowering costs of doing business.

By helping smaller enterprises embrace eco-friendly practices, the program not only promotes sustainability but also benefits businesses through cost savings and increased efficiency. The program is currently available for small businesses in California, Arizona, Nevada, Illinois, and Oregon, through collaboration with green engagement partners across these states.
