Faculty or staff: employed by an accredited primary or secondary school, public or private university or college, school district, or board of education
Accredited public or private primary or secondary schools providing full-time instruction for grades K-12, or school districts for such schools
Accredited public or private universities or colleges (including community, junior, or vocational colleges) that grant degrees requiring not less than the equivalent of two years of full-time study
Institutions which fit the above criteria must use the software for instructional purposes only
*Students that qualify include those that belong to the aforementioned institutions.
What software am I eligible for as part of Intuit Education?
Intuit Education provides free trials of QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop and ProConnect tax to eligible individuals and institutions.
I'm an Educator/Administrator looking to bring QuickBooks or ProConnect into my classroom, how do I get started?

What resources/support are available as part of Intuit Education?
In addition to QuickBooks and ProConnect software, educational institutions have access to a dedicated account manager to support their journey. Is the software really free? Do I need to put my credit card down?
Yes! Qualifying students and educators receive free access to QuickBooks Online or ProConnect. Your student version of software contains the full functionality that professionals enjoy. No credit card or payment information is required to get started. At the end of student trials you are welcome to put down a payment method to continue your subscription.
How long do educational licenses last?
Educator licenses are non-expiring as long as an educator meets the Intuit Education eligibility requirements
QuickBooks Online 12 months from the day you first activate the product
QuickBooks Desktop 5 months from the day you install the product
ProConnect does not expire
Not all of my students have access to their own computer, what are my options?
QuickBooks Online and ProConnect Online: your students receive a cloud-based account that can be accessed on any computer or smartphone with an internet connection.
QuickBooks Desktop: Educators can request QuickBooks Desktop lab-packs that can be installed on computers in your school's computer-lab or library.
Where is my confirmation email?

I received my QuickBooks Student License, Where do I go to sign in/download?
Why does my educator version of QuickBooks Online look different than the students.
As an educator you have access to QuickBooks Online Accountant, which has additional feature. If you click on "Dashboard" on the left side of your screen you will see all the same features your students have.
My version of QuickBooks Online looks different today. How often does it update?
To make sure you have the latest and greatest features QuickBooks Online updates approximately every 6 weeks. You may experience slight changes to your software when new features are rolled out.
How can I see my students work in QuickBooks Online?
QuickBooks Online Accountant allows you to connect and view your student's version of QuickBooks Online by having them join as a "client" click here for information on how to do so.
How do I invite my teacher as my accountant in QuickBooks Online?
I'm starting a new class and already have a company in QuickBooks Online. How do I start over?
If you created your company in the last 60 days: Please sign into your account and then copy qbo.intuit.com/app/purgecompany into your browser. You will be asked to confirm. Don't do this unless you're sure you want to start over!
If you created your company more than 60 days ago: Please call 1-800-488-7330 and request to have purge enabled. It will take 1-2 business days to complete. Again, don't do this unless you're sure you want to start over!
My class ended, how do I add/remove students from my QuickBooks Online Accountant software?
From the Client list, click on the client name hyperlink
In the upper right hand corner click the drop down next to Edit Client and select Make Inactive
* This will remove the client/student from your client list.
How do I set up payroll?
Your Instructor/Professor can help you set up the payroll sections you will be using in class.
QuickBooks Online you can access payroll by clicking on "workers" on the left side of the screen. You are eligible for a free 30 day trial, so only activate once you are ready to use it!
QuickBooks Desktop you can activate manual payroll here.
Does Intuit provide/support a silent deployment for IT purposes?
No, not at this time.
When I install QuickBooks in my lab, it states that it is only a 3 user license.
You are OK! The 3 just means that you can simulate a small business environment which would allow up to 3 users to access the same data file, saved to the same location at the same time.
