At Intuit, our mission is to power prosperity for the people and communities we serve. That starts with investing in the places where we live and work. Through Elevate, our $250,000 microgrant program, we provided 25 nonprofit organizations across Los Angeles, San Diego, and Atlanta with $10,000 each in unrestricted funding to advance economic mobility in their communities. These organizations are expanding access to technology and education, supporting entrepreneurship, and opening doors to new careers. The grants helped expand academic coaching for more than 1,100 students, create pathways into union construction trades and clean energy careers, and amplify the stories of underrepresented artists and entrepreneurs shaping their neighborhoods.
How Elevate Began: 200 Conversations in Los Angeles
Elevate’s roots are in Los Angeles, where our team connected with more than 200 local leaders and organizations across the city — conversations that surfaced extraordinary work already underway, and an opportunity for Intuit to help strengthen it through meaningful investment.
That insight shaped the Intuit Elevate Grant Program, built to:
- Foster economic mobility — invest in community-driven organizations that help break down financial barriers and build local economic mobility.
- Support community-led solutions — back a diverse range of initiatives designed by the people closest to their communities’ needs.
- Build & connect opportunity — connect community leaders with opportunities.
Our support also helps organizations advance priorities that align with Intuit’s goal of equipping 50 million students with financial education by 2030. Together, these efforts deepen our commitment beyond funding, building lasting partnerships rooted in local needs.
Across Los Angeles, San Diego, and Atlanta, our 25 partner organizations are putting these grants into action by expanding STEM education, supporting entrepreneurship, strengthening financial literacy, developing young leaders, and closing the digital divide. Meet the changemakers creating new opportunities in their communities.
Driving Workforce & Technology Education in Los Angeles
Our Los Angeles cohort represents a dynamic cross-section of leaders expanding educational access, digital equity, and community health across Southern California. The Elevate grantees are connecting Angelenos to education, employment, and economic mobility. i.am College Track provided academic coaching and career preparation for more than 1,100 scholars, while New Village Girls Academy reported a 91% senior graduation rate, with 83% of graduates enrolling in college.
For adults seeking a fresh start, Flintridge Center’s Apprenticeship Preparation Program served 106 formerly incarcerated adults and reported a 10% recidivism rate, compared with 47% countywide. Grantees are also supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses: TEC Leimert’s NXT LVL Biz helped 30 small businesses strengthen their marketing, while New Economics for Women’s programs reached more than 6,000 business owners and supported members by connecting them to more than 4,500 jobs created or supported. Together, these organizations are linking education and workforce preparation with the resources people need to build careers, grow businesses, strengthen financial literacy, and achieve greater economic mobility.
“What sets the Intuit Elevate Grant apart isn’t just the funding—it’s the people behind it. The Elevate team shows up for their grantees in a way that’s rare. They’re genuinely accessible, they listen, and they’ve built real community among the organizations they support. Being connected to other grantees doing this work has been just as valuable as the grant itself.”
