Economic inequality is on the rise across communities, driven by shifts in technology, the environment and socioeconomic factors. Intuit is uniquely positioned to close this gap by bringing jobs, preparing individuals for careers, and supporting entrepreneurs to spark economic prosperity.
Corporate Responsibility at Intuit
Intuit’s Corporate Responsibility efforts reflect our mission to “Power Prosperity Around the World” and deliver on our belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to prosper.0
Positive Impact on Climate
Climate change severely impacts opportunities for communities, customers and employees to prosper. Intuit’s 50x by 30 strategy focuses on sustainability initiatives and solutions outside of the company’s operations. Specifically, the strategy provides solutions for employees, customers, communities and partners. Intuit will measure the impact of the climate-positive goal across these groups and seek solutions that can benefit the planet.
Intuit Education Programs
Intuit Education develops 21st century skills students need to compete for jobs through entrepreneurship and personal finance education programs and partnerships. Through our tools, methods and partnerships, we hope to increase the number of youth and adults who have relevant skills, including technical and vocational skills, for employment, decent jobs and entrepreneurship.
Intuit partnered with SaverLife in two Prosperity Hub communities – Bluefield, West Virginia and Johnstown, Pennsylvania-- to empower employees at Alorica and Concentrix and local residents to build the habit of savings. During the pilot 3,300 households joined the SaverLife challenge; Bluefield area residents saw an average net increase in savings of $442; in Johnstown, that figure was $211.
At Intuit, pay equity is fundamental to our diversity and inclusion strategy. We perform an ongoing pay equity analysis conducted twice a year with an independent, outside company. We review each job code where we have enough employees and those employees have the same or similar job duties and compensation mix (base pay to incentive ratio). As of August 1, 2020, zero of those job codes had statistically significant differences between employees of different gender or ethnicity.
Small Business Success Centers
With help from our partners, Intuit is investing even more in Prosperity Hub communities’ success through small business success centers and virtual programming. We launched centers in Wise, Virginia, and Bluefield, West Virginia for in-person support and have been providing virtual training sessions and workshops on topics such as Cash Flow Management, Design Thinking, and How to Move Your Business Online.
