Intuit QuickBooks Joins Muse for Small Business

Starting this week, businesses can connect their Intuit QuickBooks account to Muse, from Meta, giving them a new way to manage invoices, get paid, and get insights on their business.

Intuit and Muse, from Meta enters partnership

Intuit is bringing its trusted financial intelligence for small businesses to Muse as a launch partner. The QuickBooks connector is now live in Muse, bringing select financial workflows directly into Muse. Intuit serves 10 million businesses today and brings decades of trusted financial data, deep domain- and industry-specific expertise, and infrastructure built to support high-stakes financial actions. This new experience will make it easy for businesses to connect conversations to the financial tools, insights, and actions they need.

Businesses can ask Muse to help with select financial workflows, and Muse calls on QuickBooks to put them into action. QuickBooks customers can:

  • Understand their performance — review profit and loss as well as cash flow for any period
  • Know where they stand — check their balance sheet and compare against industry peers
  • Grow their sales — see which customers and products drive the most revenue
  • Get paid faster — create and send payment-enabled invoices directly to customers
  • Improve cash flow — track overdue invoices and send payment reminders

For example, a plumber who is just starting their business can simply ask Muse how to bill for last week’s work. With their permission, Muse connects to QuickBooks to create and send the payment-enabled invoice, so their customer can pay it directly. As the plumber’s business grows, Muse connects them to other services on the full Intuit QuickBooks platform, such as running payroll, automating the closing of their books, or filing business taxes.

“For decades, QuickBooks has been the trusted financial partner for millions of small and mid-market businesses,” said Alex Balazs, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Intuit. “By bringing Intuit Intelligence’s agentic AI workflows into Muse for Small Business, we’re meeting customers where they are and connecting them to the QuickBooks tool they already rely on to get work done. Backed by Intuit’s years of investment in AI, security, and compliance, businesses can understand and manage their cash flow, handle invoicing, and access critical business intelligence to help them grow and scale with confidence, wherever they choose to work.”

Conversational AI is a starting point. Intuit is built for what comes after it.

Conversational AI and agents such as Muse are creating new ways for people to discover the tools and expertise they need. They can serve as an intuitive entry point, helping customers ask a question, get oriented, and connect with the right solution for what they want to accomplish. That’s where Intuit comes in. When the need is financial, Muse connects customers to QuickBooks, where Intuit’s trusted financial data, deep domain expertise, and AI come together to deliver the answers, insights, and actions customers need. Whether that means managing cash flow, getting paid, or making a financial decision, the work is enabled by Intuit’s platform. Our goal is to make that connection seamless: helping customers move naturally from discovery to trusted financial action, wherever they choose to start.

That’s why Intuit has built experiences across every major AI platform and continues to expand how customers can discover its products and services. Each platform offers a different front door and a different kind of conversation, meeting new and existing customers where they live and work and helping them discover Intuit’s platform offerings. And while these integrations are still early, we’re already seeing encouraging signals: QuickBooks customers who connect through their preferred frontier AI platform are engaging more with Intuit’s products than those who are not connected.

Because finances are high-stakes and deeply personal, trust matters in every interaction. Intuit brings trusted financial intelligence that is accurate and compliant, along with the ability to act on it. Together, these front doors can help customers discover what they need, while Intuit delivers the financial expertise and action behind the experience.

Built to get stronger as the models and agents get better

Every Intuit experience that’s embedded within AI platforms runs on the same foundation: Intuit’s financial system of intelligence. It combines decades of trusted data across millions of businesses with deep financial and industry expertise — 74 financial domains, over 100 workflows, 307 specialized industries — and an orchestration layer that decides, task by task, what kind of intelligence each moment actually needs.

Each Intuit connector is thoughtfully designed for select financial workflows. For businesses, Intuit defines exactly which QuickBooks capabilities are available, and the full breadth of QuickBooks offerings remains on the end-to-end platform. That’s by design: customers go directly to the QuickBooks experience for more complex, compliance-heavy parts of running a business like payroll, closing books, filing taxes, and complex cash flow scenario planning. Every experience is backed by Intuit’s years of investment in AI trust, data privacy, security, and responsible AI governance. As part of Intuit’s long-standing commitment to data stewardship, and with customers’ permission, Intuit allows our partners to leverage select data for improving answers and better selecting and invoking the right product connector to meet customers’ needs. The data is only used to help customers do their work.

As AI and the industry evolve, the way people discover and engage with tools and services will evolve too. Just as search engines and application marketplaces created new paths to trusted products, AI agents like Muse can help connect people to the right tools and platforms for what they want to accomplish. Today’s launch is another meaningful step in how Intuit is making its platform more accessible wherever customers choose to start. And through all of this change, the customer need is clear: people and businesses want trusted expertise that helps them solve financial problems accurately and securely, and act with confidence. That’s what Intuit delivers, bringing financial intelligence and action together to help customers achieve better outcomes wherever they choose to engage.
