Delivering on that mission inspires us to use the collective strength of our products and our people to make the world a better place, especially for those that need it most. This includes our employees, our customers and our planet. While we’re thankful that our team members in Australia are safe and accounted for, we can’t ignore the massive impact of these fires, consuming over 18 million acres (7.2 million hectares). Our employees and customers are living with the direct and indirect impacts of this tragedy every day. “It’s in times like these that we always come together to help the Intuit communities where we work and live,” said Sasan Goodarzi, Chief Executive Officer of Intuit. That’s why we are pledging $1,000,000 USD to help with relief efforts and rebuilding of affected communities. This is alongside other company-wide activities, like donation matching through our We Care and Give Back program, where Intuit is doubling donations made through employee giving campaigns. Collectively, we have already raised an additional $100,000 USD to help support emergency relief for the wildfires. Free, confidential virtual counseling sessions are also available to our employees. In addition, we’ll continue to do our part in addressing the ongoing climate change crisis. Intuit is working toward a 50x climate positive position by 2030, a sustainability goal that accounts for carbon emissions and carbon footprint in all of our locations, including Australia. Real impact happens when we come together – and we are committed to helping support our employees, customers, and the people of Australia during this time.
