At Intuit, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to prosper. This report details the incredible work taking place across the company to deliver on our mission of helping power prosperity around the world, especially for those who need it most. Corporate responsibility (CR) and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) are fundamental to who we are. Sasan has shared how our CR and DEI initiatives are aligned to our business strategy, and we’ve declared True North Goals to measure our progress and hold ourselves accountable. We are committed to using our products, services, unique expertise, and scale to have a positive impact on our employees, customers, and underserved communities across the globe. Corporate responsibility Our CR strategy is focused on three core areas: job creation to provide economic opportunities to underserved communities, job readiness to better prepare individuals for today’s jobs, and having a positive impact on climate including setting new science-based net zero emission targets. This year’s report captures the great progress we are making in our key priorities: We are building on the success of our Prosperity Hub program to bring jobs and training to underserved communities. Through fiscal year 2022, we’ve now created over 19,000 seasonal and year-round jobs cumulatively, generating over $170M dollars in economic impact for these communities across the United States and three other countries. In FY22, we continued to invest in our Prosperity Hub School District program which now includes 21 districts in underserved communities across 9 countries. On a cumulative basis, we’ve better prepared more than 1 million individuals for jobs to-date, and our goal is to prepare at least 5 million individuals for jobs by 2025. On climate, we have a bold “50 times by 30 climate positive goal” — this is our commitment to reducing carbon emissions by 2 million metric tonnes – which is 50 times Intuit’s 2018 carbon footprint by 2030 — and the equivalent of taking 430,000 cars off the road for one year. As of fiscal year 2022, we’re now 7X carbon positive, reducing over 290,000 of total metric tonnes of carbon emissions. And by FY25, we expect to have reduced carbon emissions by one million metric tonnes, well on our way to hitting our 50 times by 30 goal. [1] Intuit Dome is currently under construction in Inglewood and we’re investing in a community benefits package worth an unprecedented $100 million to support the local community. We expect 1,500 permanent jobs to be created once Intuit Dome opens, and at least 35% of those jobs will be staffed by local residents. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion For DEI, our goal is to increase diverse representation in our organization and to have equitable policies and practices. The report outlines the continued progress we are making with DEI. We met our fiscal year 2022 True North Goal of 33% representation of women in technology, growing three percentage points from fiscal year 2021. And despite the disproportionate impact and the long-term effect COVID has had on women in the broader workforce, this year we’ve seen the representation of women increase across many key workforce dimensions—overall, in Tech, and in leadership roles. [2] We declared a True North Goal to increase the percentage of underrepresented racial groups at Intuit to 14.5%. In fiscal year 2022, we surpassed that by .5 percentage points to reach 15% representation, with the addition of Mailchimp helping us exceed our goal.[2] These highlights are just a sampling of the great work taking place across the company. I couldn’t be more proud of our accomplishments over the past year — and we’re just getting started.
