That’s why we invest in equity — to give everyone an equal opportunity. Monday, November 11th, marks Veterans Day— a time to honor all who have served in the United States Armed Forces during war or peace, and to thank them for their sacrifices. In commonwealth countries including Canada, Britain, India and Australia, a similar holiday called Remembrance Day is celebrated. Veterans Day is a time to reflect and find more opportunities to support our military community, including military families and veterans. It’s about taking a moment to appreciate their courage, commitment, and sacrifice. It’s also about giving those who have come home and transitioned out of the military a chance to start a new chapter in their lives, build upon what they’ve learned, and embark on new adventures. Introducing our new One Intuit Military Program We are proud to announce our new One Intuit Military Program as part of our commitment to help power prosperity for our service members, veterans, and military families. Veteran and Intuit employee, Sean, was deployed in Iraq when his two-year-old son was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. His career path changed overnight, as he wanted to find work outside of the military so he could be with his family every day. At Intuit, we’re proud to building initiatives that help veterans transition to civilian careers while also empowering and employing military spouses. Our new One Intuit Military Program is more than just a way of saying “thank you for your service.” It’s an opportunity. It’s our belief that veterans and military spouses provide a source of unique skills and talent. We want to complete for that top talent, while honoring those who served. By building on a foundation that includes hiring top talent, supporting our employees who are veterans and part of families, and more, we are growing stronger relationships with military spouses and veterans to ease the transition into civilian life.
