Do I qualify to be a QuickBooks Live Bookkeeper?

QuickBooks Live Bookkeepers will be part-time (20 – 40 hours / week) earning a competitive hourly wage.

Qualifications include:

 

✓ 3+ years paid experience managing books for a small business

 

✓ Active QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certification (at start date)

 

✓ Minimum of one year experience working with QuickBooks

 

✓ Online Proficient with technology; solid knowledge of computer software

 

✓ Strong customer service skills and ability to interact with customers through video in professional manner

 

✓ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

  • How does this service work?

    QuickBooks Live Bookkeepers will work directly with customers through Intuit’s virtual bookkeeping tools, including video conferencing, messaging, and a client management portal. Customers will schedule a time to engage services, and the Bookkeeper will work on their books with them.

  • What specific tasks are part of this role?

    You’ll be helping our customers by doing their monthly bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online.

    Examples of some tasks include: setting up their books and chart of accounts, perform monthly categorization, reconciliation, running reports (e.g., balance sheet and P&L statement), closing their books at the end of the year, and general QuickBooks tasks.

    You’ll also play an important role in our effort to enhance our brand by delighting our customers and empowering them to take control of their finances.

  • How will I be communicating with customers?

    "This is a remote position where you work virtually, so you can choose the best location that suits you. Most of our bookkeepers work at home in an area where they can handle calls privately.

    Just because it’s remote doesn’t mean you’ll ever be on your own. Every day, you’ll work together with other bookkeepers to help small businesses and grow your own expertise."

  • What equipment do I need for this position?

    As a QuickBooks Live Bookkeepers, you will be receiving an Intuit laptop, preloaded with all of the tools and systems you will need to help customers. You will also need a dedicated internet connection and landline phone.

    For this role, it’s common for bookkeepers to set up a home office or an area with a desk and chair where they can handle calls."

  • Where will I be working?

    This is a remote position where you work virtually, so you can choose the best location that suits you. Most of our credentialed tax experts work at home in an area where they can handle calls privately. Just because it’s remote doesn’t mean you’ll ever be on your own. Every day, you’ll work together with other tax experts to solve customers’ problems and maybe grow your own expertise.

  • What equipment will Intuit provide?


    In addition to the all-in-one laptop, we’ll provide:

    a secured webcam that you use for your video calls with customers
    peripheral equipment (headset, a USB hub, and an Ethernet cable)
    a backdrop (material that will serve as the background behind you during video calls)
    a VPN token

  • Will there be training available?

    "Yes, there will be thorough training on every aspect of the role, including:

    detailed expectations for the role
    the software you’ll use to conduct video calls with customers
    how to handle common situations and more

    It consists of a 2 week self-led, online training with on-going check-ins with managers.

    At any point, whether it’s before, during, or after training, there will always be support available for you."

  • What shifts are available?


    We are looking to cover operating hours from 6AM to 6PM PST, Monday through Friday. You’ll be able to choose a schedule that best works for you by selecting from a variety of available shifts.

  • How will I be paid?


    You will be paid hourly. Pay is determined by regional location, interview, and years of experience.

  • What is the hiring process?

    "First of all, make sure you meet all of the qualifications listed above and that your QuickBooks Online Certification (either Basic or Advanced Certification) is up to date.
    Once you apply online, you will be contacted by a recruiter who will then complete a phone screen.
    If you continue in the process, you will be contacted to set up additional interviews with our team.
    You will also be required to pass a background check."
